A Quantum Leap in Polishing Technology

Menzerna MeLT®

Menzerna Liquefaction Technology MeLT® represents a quantum leap in the field of industrial polishing. Emulsions and solid polishing compounds have specific benefits in the polishing process. These are combined in the new MeLT® technology. The patented technology is revolutionizing conventional application methods in industrial polishing. With the use of MeLT®, polishing processes can be significantly optimized and outlay greatly reduced.

A future technology

The MeLT® process

MeLT® systems consist of a drum press with a diaphragm pump and control unit, a heated tube, and one or more dispensing heads. MeLT® polishing compounds are solid at room temperature. The equipment heats the compounds and makes them sprayable. As such, the superior polishing performance of solid compounds can now also be harnessed on polishing systems that were previously only compatible with emulsions. All compound-carrying parts of the system are heated, with relatively low temperatures of 55–70°C sufficient.

Menzerna Offers Free Trials of MeLT Technology. Interested companies are able to test this innovative process over several days in straightforward, small-scale, no-obligation trials. Preliminary tests with what are known as RoboMiniMeLT devices are possible upon request. See the benefits of this process for yourself.

MeLT® introductory video

MeLT® (Menzerna Liquefaction Technology)

MeLT® (Menzerna Liquefaction Technology) is a hot-melt process for the application of polishing compounds. It combines the benefits of emulsions with those of solid compounds. MeLT® polishing compounds are solid at room temperature. A system that is also used in the field of hot-melt adhesives then heats up the compounds, thus making them sprayable. As such, the superior polishing performance of solid compounds can now also be harnessed on polishing systems that were previously only compatible with liquid compounds.
