Menzerna increases its capacities

By building an additional production hall Menzerna production space is going to expand by 50 percent

Menzerna Polishing Compounds GmbH & Co. KG based in Ötigheim, Germany is looking back on a successful financial year. In 2015 the expert for industrial polishing pastes and processes generated sales of nearly 20 million Euros. Exports account for 70 percent of this figure. This year Menzerna is going to invest two million Euros into the construction of a new production facility and warehouse, thereby expanding its production space by half its current size.

The new building was urgently needed in order to meet rising demand. “Our current facilities are no longer adequate,” explains Managing Director Dr. Tilo Franz. “That is why we are going to expand in order to adjust our capacities in line with economic development.” The company has 70 employees around the world and invests more than five percent of its sales into research and development each year. “We are always investing into the development of new formulations and processes as well as technical equipment and application technology. Doing so backs up our claim that we are a technology leader in the field of industrial polishing and a process partner for our industry customers,” says the Managing Director. Investments were made into the modernisation of the production facilities and an electronic process control system in 2015 in order to further improve productivity and quality. Menzerna has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001 for the reduction of energy consumption. Work on the development of new formulations and polishing processes for products in the consumer electronics industry and for processing the latest generation of PUR coatings is currently a top priority.

The company founded in 1888 is Europe’s leading developer and manufacturer of polishing agents for industry and trades today. With its own subsidiary in China and a sales office for the Middle East as well as a worldwide network of dealers, Menzerna is favourably positioned around the world.

Menzerna covers the full range of industrial polishing applications with more than 200 formulations. The realistic simulation of customer processes is supported by the technical centre. “As a process partner, we provide integrated support for our customers. That means we also offer consulting services in addition to polishing agents, assisting our customers with the optimisation of polishing processes. Menzerna products are often optimised to meet specific customer requirements. We take a technical approach to consulting based exclusively on data. With our range of products and services, we are able to improve the economic efficiency of polishing processes and to identify potential savings,” says Sales Manager Michael Schultis.
